Minister,    Rev Amanda Stevens.      Tel 01326561792

The service at Trinity on Sunday 15th May at 11am was led by Rev Amanda Stevens and included Holy Communion.

All the hymns came from our new hymn books “Singing the Faith” numbers 152, 726, 81, 580 and 398.  Readings came from John ch10 v22 – 30  which was read by Everett and Acts ch9 v32 – 43 read by Rev Amanda from “The Message” translation and used as the basis of her address.  This scripture passage tells us that Dorcas, who Peter revived, made clothes for the benefit of her community.  The congregation was given an opportunity to express their creative talents and were encouraged to think about how they could develop these talents to help those in the local community.
At the 15-minute prayer time beginning at 10.30am prayers were said for local, national and international areas of concern.
Coffee mornings are starting again on Friday, May 27.  On Friday, June 3 as part of the Platinum Jubilee celebrations at Porkellis come in for a cuppa between 2 pm and 6 pm to relax and enjoy the Royal Memorabilia Exhibition.  Café Church is on the Sunday at 11am followed by a “Bring and Share” lunch.

To celebrate the Queens Platinum Jubilee we are planning to have an exhibition of memorabilia celebrating the reign of Queen Elizabeth II. If you have anything you would like to exhibit please bring it along by Sunday May 22nd. Anything is of interest, books, photos, mugs, memories of Royal occasions ( Garden Parties etc.) and copies can be made if you prefer. Please bring any items for copying along as soon as possible and give to Sheila or Ruth.
It is planned to have the exhibition just for a focal point to the weekend. On Friday June 3rd there is a Heritage Walk around the Parish and we have been asked to supply tea, cake and a comfort stop for walkers as well as joining in the walk. To that end the Chapel will be open on the Friday afternoon from 2.00pm until 6.00pm. Contributions of cake etc., and any help will be appreciated.

The walk will start at 2.00pm at the Village notice board opposite the Star Inn. Loveday Jenkin will officially start the Heritage Walk and then folk will walk down to Trinity for tea and cake before continuing on. There will be a barbecue at the Village Hall at 6.00pm.

On Sunday 5th June at Trinity the Preacher will be Mrs E Tremayne and will be a Café Church, followed by a bring and share lunch
