Youth Work
Youth Clubs
Our Youth Clubs offer a wide range of themed nights, snacks, crafts, games and a lot of fun and usually noise! These events take place in Mullion and Central (Helston) Methodist Churches. A great place to Chill and hang out or be active with friends. We always have a ‘Quiet Moment’ where we focus on a character or passage from the Bible or an ethical issue that links with our theme for us to think about together.
Sunday Morning Youth Activities
Breaney Methodist Church (Breage)
10:30am Trewithick Road, Breage TR13 9PZ.
Sunday Youth Activities are every week, meeting in the upstairs Chapel and then going downstairs to activities after the first part of the service.
Central Methodist Church (Helston)
10:45am @ Central Methodist Church. Coinagehall Street Helston TR13 8EL
Sunday Youth Activities take place each week in different formats. We usually meet in Church for the first part of the service and then go to our youth room downstairs. There are some weeks when we some of our youth take part in our worship band, some support the younger Children in Messy Church. The sessions are run by a team of youth leaders and each session involves food! From a trip to Weatherspoon’s, our own pastry’s for continental breakfasts or the unbeatable doughnuts and fruit! We spend time worshipping Jesus together, we look at the Bible, hang out and get to know one another.
Mullion Methodist Church
Footprints – Most first Sundays of the month at 10:45am @ Churchtown, Mullion TR12 7BT– in the lower floor School room.
Sunday Evenings
'Breakout' is for young people aged 10 and above. We meet at Central Methodist Church, Helston on a Sunday evening from 6pm-7:30pm. Our sessions always involve food, games, fun and laughter. Breakout is also a place where we can talk about social issues and biblical themes and come together as a group of people from different churches and learn to love God and help our community in practical ways. We have helped at Christmas to provide meals to the homeless, fundraised for Ukraine, helped with environmental issues and much more…
LAMB Youth Theatre
Lamb Youth Theatre is a theatre group dedicated to nurturing the next generation of budding performers by developing stage skills, performance and confidence. Step into the spotlight with us — where creativity takes centre stage!
Our dynamic programs let young people explore acting, singing, movement, and production in a fun, supportive environment. From first-time performers to seasoned stars, everyone has a role to play as we build confidence, spark imagination, and create unforgettable performances together.
Because theatre isn’t just about putting on a show — it’s about finding your voice, your team, and your moment to shine.
Both groups are co-led by Ashley Chinn and Sarah Reed
Why not pop along and give it a try!
Sports Fest
Sport Fest takes place twice a month, after morning service, in the Epworth Centre attached to Central Methodist Church, Helston. We play lots of different sports including badminton, volleyball, dodgeball, penalty shootout and soft tennis. After we are worn out we go back into Central to round off the event with pizza and chips!
BRIX
Brix is a monthly club for families of all ages, starting on 27 March. Brix is a great way to have fun through Minecraft in our virtual world and learn about the Bible at the same time.
Minecraft is one of the most popular computer games on the planet. Brix provides an opportunity to share in creativity across the ages and generations. Children can build their own homes near the Brix Church and then each month in our own computerised world we will get together and help build structures and buildings together linked to our chosen story.
We have six laptops that the Children can use to access the world in groups but please bring your own laptop, tablet or phone if you have one especially if you have Minecraft downloaded. We play in Creative mode and through Java.
If Minecraft is not your thing, that is also fine. We have junk modelling, Lego and Duplo to build and create in different ways on the same theme. **Please note an adult must accompany Primary aged children**
Our club is FREE, we have a tuck shop if anyone wishes to purchase a sweet treat! You will find us in the downstairs hall at Central Methodist Church, Coinagehall Street. Helston. TR13 8EL All are welcome.
Please contact the Circuit office: 01326 561140 or Sarah via email Epworthhallmissioner@gmail.com if you need more information.
Socials & Summer trips
Social events are always a great opportunity to invite new friends along - we always want our youth events to be a friendly, safe and welcoming place for all and they usually are quite wacky! We feel social events play a vital part in helping our youth create friendships and community in our Circuit. Over the year we have various outings such as beach trips, trips away camping at Christian Festivals, BBQ’s, trips to local stage shows and of course a few outings to Mc D’s thrown in for good measure!
We would love to say hello, get to know you and chat about how you can get involved. So please contact us via the Circuit Office or just come along. We can't wait to see you!
